Po.et (POE) is an ERC-20 token developed on the Ethereum blockchain. The total supply of Po.et is 3,141,592,653 tokens. Po.et works with the Proof of Existence (PoE) protocol and extends the hashing and timestamping algorithm by incorporating additional metadata and discoverability in the existing Proof of Existence protocol. The purpose of Po.et is to address three core issues of digital media i.e. ownership, utilization, and history. "Ownership" defines the owner of the digital asset. The record is maintained on a public ledger and thus cannot be tempered. "Utilization" requires the POE token which serves as the economic layer for Po.et platform. "History" explains the origin of the asset, its market value, and record of economics related to the asset. The use cases include publishers, content creators, and the services offered by both.
